Terms of use
Practical terms for using Receipt Janitor with the service.
Updated October 2, 2026.
The service
Receipt Janitor helps you capture expenses into property-specific Google Sheets and file related receipts in your Google Drive. You need a Google account and must authorize the requested access. The service is currently free for authorized testing; joining does not authorize a future paid charge. Any paid plan will require an explicit purchase.
Receipt Janitor is a recordkeeping aid, not accounting, tax, or legal advice. Review expense details, categories, Sheet rows, and receipt access before relying on them or sharing them.
Your records and responsibilities
Your Sheets and Drive files remain in your Google account. You control their sharing and can use Google’s native download tools. A downloaded Sheet does not include the bytes of linked receipts; share or download the receipt folder separately when needed. Keep access to the original files and do not send an expense twice when a save is uncertain. Open the original expense from Activity and use Check when offered, or get urgent help to resolve it.
Only submit content you have the right to process and share. Keep your Google account secure, and use Receipt Janitor within the displayed file, usage, and account limits. Do not interfere with the service or other accounts.
Availability and changes
The service may change, pause, or have errors. Google access, provider limits, and edits made directly in a Sheet or Drive can affect an expense. Receipt Janitor shows actionable recovery states where it can, but you should verify any uncertain result against the original Sheet and receipt. We may update these terms as the service develops and will present material changes before they apply to new use.
You can stop using the service and request deletion of app-held account records from Account. See the Privacy notice for the handling of app records and Google files. For questions, visit Help.
